Day 1 – Closet Cleanse

I woke up with renewed energy and conviction. I am going for it.  Question is where do I begin…. I need a process or else I am going to get overwhelmed and give up.  My hubby is suggesting I start with my daughters closet and I think that’s the perfect starting point. JJ will be six in September and like mommy she has a lot of clothes ….. 😳.  This is going to be a little emotional.. Kleenex box in hand here we go.  Stay tuned for the reveal… 

Can one really live with a “10 item wardrobe”

Ladies can one really live with a 10 item wardrobe😳? So the thought of doing that is giving me anxiety, however, I am drowning in clothes. I work in a corporate environment and attend meetings all the time so I have a lot of business attire, I am a huge fan of dresses, as I find them easier to work with and make my mornings and travel easier. I recently dropped two dress sizes but I am still hanging on to the other pieces because I am afraid the weight might come creeping back. I know what you are thinking “self sabotage” maybe but let’s hope not. Any way enough rambling back to the topic.

So where does one start I don’t have the will power to do this.  Perhaps it’s time for a wardrobe intervention……Perhaps this could be a good time to start my own reality show “Closet Purgertory”.  I should hire someone to help me. The photo below is of my closet taken a few minutes ago. This is a quarter of my closet. My name is Annie and my closet is out of control.

Pepsi & chips for breakfast – Seriously

The Go Train is a great place to people watch.  The lady seating beside me is having a yoghurt laced with all the goodies, granola, blueberries and strawberries – perfect for breakfast right.  Then there is a lady I would say probably mid-forties about +200lbs sitting in the next row to my right eating a bag of salt-n-vinegar chips and of course why not go all out – she is drinking Pepsi not even diet-pepsi. I am so tempted to yell “WTF lady it’s 7:43am you should eat a proper breakfast”  Makes me wonder what she packs in her kids lunch bag. There 160calories per 17 chips she ate a whole bag. I am appalled. 

 

What Not To Eat # 2 

Sitting on the Go Train again just watched a guy woof down what looked like a Big Mac with Fries a large drink which I assume was pop and two Apple Pies. So I went online to see how many calories he had just shoved down his throat.  Get this he just devoured 1740 calories in one sitting http://www.mcdonalds.ca/ca/en/food/nutrition_centre.html#/tray. Shocking what we put in our bodies.

Woohoo I am down 5lbs another 25lbs to go. I can do this!! This is just the beginning!! 

The Deeper Cleanse – Day Five

So today of course being the last day it was smooth sailing I drank those juices like there was no tomorrow – I guess there isn’t. I really do feel good the Belmont Raw cleanse does work, it’s a little pricey but dollars well spent. So tomorrow morning I will be revealing my new weight so stay tuned.  Then I move onto my next challenge this one will be a family challenge “Clean Eating”. I saw something on Pinterest the other day and I liked the idea. So we are going all in as a family,,

The Deeper Cleanse – Day Four 

One more day to go.  Today wasn’t so great I’ve been fighting a cough and cold and I was hoping the healing nutrients in the cleanse juices would help me fight it off but no such luck. Felt a little faint and sickly all day Now I am home sipping on my last bottle of the day “The Detox” which has Kale, spinach, celery, cucumber, ginger, apple, lemon. Despite the gross green color as my daughter puts it, it is actually pretty tasty.  Not really craving anything today but would be nice to have some lemon chicken.

The Deeper Cleanse – Day Three

Day three of the cleanse is off to a good start no headaches, I am not hungry and can even stand the smell of coffee and food.  I am going for yoga later. According to Belmonte Raw It is important to take some time to yourself and connect with your inner self during a cleanse, easier said than done when all you can think about is food LOL. Activities recommended by Belmonte Raw are: go to the sauna; have a colonic cleanse (hmmm not sure about the colonic but I think that’s my next challenge); dry brush your skin; have a vitamin drip (who knew that one could get a vitamin drip) do yoga and meditate.

The Deeper Cleanse – Day Two

Woke up feeling good with a dull headache but it’s a good sign the cleanse is working. I Drank a large glass of lemon water kind of gross because you have to do this before brushing your teeth. On my way to work I was crossing my fingers that no one was eating their breakfast or enjoying their morning coffee because chances are I would have pounced on them LOL. The last time I ate a cooked meal was Sunday April 19 need I say more. The hunger pains are not so bad anymore and the anger has subsided, I can feel a mild headache but I just realized that this is a raw cleanse which means I can eat anything raw that is salads and fruit but can’t overdo it. But let me tell you there is nothing I want more right now like a bacon cheese burger.
